Retablo niche – Virgen de San Juan del rio
On this very old model, the farmer thanks the Virgin of San Juan del Rio for having saved him from the suffocation that awaited him after having swallowed a spider during his sleep.
The thank-you text, classically handwritten by the artist at the bottom of the retablo, is reproduced on a metal plate hanging at the foot of the niche.
